TIDE is TropiGo’s community impact and development arm, created to support initiatives that strengthen people, communities and the environment across Antigua and Barbuda.
TropiGo believes that business should also contribute to the communities in which it operates. TIDE was established as a platform for that contribution — bringing together youth development, education, community engagement and environmental action in a way that is practical, collaborative and rooted in local needs.
At the centre of TIDE is a commitment to young people. Through leadership development, mentorship, personal development and meaningful opportunities for participation, the initiative seeks to help young people build confidence, strengthen practical skills and take a more active role in their communities.
TIDE supports workshops and learning activities in areas such as financial literacy, career development, life skills and practical skills training, with an emphasis on knowledge that can be applied in everyday life.
The initiative also supports volunteer activities, community partnerships, outreach programmes and locally focused projects designed to create value beyond a single activity or event.
Through environmental education, tree planting, coastal conservation, climate awareness and other sustainability initiatives, TIDE encourages practical community action while supporting greater awareness of Antigua and Barbuda’s natural environment.
TIDE welcomes collaboration with schools, community groups, NGOs, businesses and other partners through volunteering, sponsorship, donations, technical support and joint initiatives.
Strong communities are built when people, organisations and ideas are given the opportunity to work together.
